Terms of Service for Job-Genie.ai — the rules governing your access to and use of the Job Genie platform.

Please read these terms carefully before using Job-Genie.ai. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

The short version

Job-Genie.ai is a tool to help you find specialist recruiter-held jobs. You own your data; we don't sell it or share your resume without your action. Use the platform honestly and legally. We're not a staffing agency and don't guarantee job placement. Either party can end the relationship at any time.

01 — Overview

Overview & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Job-Genie.ai website, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Job-Genie.ai ("Job-Genie," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Margate, Florida, United States.

By accessing or using the Platform in any way — including browsing the site, creating an account, uploading a resume, or subscribing to our newsletter — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Job-Genie.ai. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

02 — Eligibility

Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction;
  • Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable law (including any applicable export control or sanctions regulations); and
  • Not have had a prior account terminated by Job-Genie.ai for a violation of these Terms.

The Platform is intended for individual job seekers. Use by staffing firms, recruiters, employers, data aggregators, or competing platforms to scrape, monitor, or harvest listing data is expressly prohibited.

03 — Accounts

Accounts & Registration

Certain features of the Platform require you to create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information;
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information as needed;
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party;
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you; and
  • Notify us immediately at privacy@job-genie.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to refuse registration, cancel accounts, or remove or edit content at our sole discretion.

You may only maintain one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans is a violation of these Terms.

04 — Platform

Platform Description & Scope of Services

Job-Genie.ai is an AI-powered job search intelligence platform that provides the following services:

  • Resume analysis — AI-assisted review of your uploaded resume to identify strengths, gaps, and keyword fit against live recruiter-held listings.
  • Recruiter-fit scoring — a scored assessment of how well your profile matches the criteria specialist recruiters use to shortlist candidates.
  • Job listing aggregation — curated, live job listings sourced from specialist staffing firms and independent recruiters, validated for accuracy.
  • Newsletter & content — job search strategy content, recruiter intelligence, and market insights delivered via email (powered by Beehiiv).

Job-Genie.ai is not a staffing agency or recruiter. We do not represent you to employers, negotiate offers on your behalf, or guarantee job placement or interviews. We are an information and intelligence platform. Any relationship with a recruiter or employer you connect with through the Platform is solely between you and that third party.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure listing accuracy and recruiter validation, but we do not guarantee that all listings are current, accurate, or available at any given time. Job market data changes rapidly, and listings may expire or be filled without notice.

05 — Acceptable Use

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading purpose, including submitting false resume information;
  • Scrape, crawl, spider, data-mine, or otherwise extract data from the Platform by automated means without our express written consent;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any component of the Platform;
  • Use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) to recruiters, employers, or other users;
  • Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or infringes any third-party rights;
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, disable, or harm the Platform or its users;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Platform, other accounts, or systems connected to the Platform;
  • Use the Platform in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Use the Platform's outputs (resume scores, fit analyses, listing data) to build a competing product or service without our written consent; or
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.

06 — Your Content

Your Content & Data

Ownership. You retain full ownership of any content you upload to the Platform, including your resume, CV, and personal information ("Your Content"). These Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to Job-Genie.ai.

License to Job-Genie.ai. By uploading Your Content, you grant Job-Genie.ai a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, process, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform and providing services to you. This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account.

Accuracy. You represent and warrant that Your Content is accurate and does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, violate any privacy rights, or contain any false or misleading information.

No resume forwarding. We do not forward your resume to recruiters or employers on your behalf without explicit action from you. The Platform surfaces matching opportunities; any application or outreach is initiated by you.

Aggregate data. We may use de-identified, aggregated data derived from Platform usage to improve our services, train and improve internal AI models, and publish market insights. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

07 — Intellectual Property

Intellectual Property

Our IP. The Platform, including its design, features, algorithms, AI models, software, text, graphics, logos, and all other content created by Job-Genie.ai (excluding Your Content), is the exclusive property of Job-Genie.ai and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Limited license to you. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial job search purposes, subject to these Terms.

Restrictions. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our express written consent. This includes reproducing recruiter listing data, fit score outputs, or any AI-generated analysis for use outside the Platform.

Feedback. If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Platform, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.

08 — Third Parties

The Platform integrates with and may link to third-party services, including:

  • Beehiiv — Newsletter delivery and subscriber management. Their terms apply (beehiiv.com/tou).
  • Specialist staffing firms — Source of recruiter-held job listings aggregated on the Platform. Each firm's own terms apply.
  • Payment processors — Processing of any subscription or premium fees (if applicable). Processor's terms apply.
  • Infrastructure providers — Cloud hosting and platform operation, governed by our agreements with them.

Job-Genie.ai is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party service. Links to third-party sites do not constitute an endorsement. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

09 — Disclaimers

Disclaimers & Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement;
  • Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components;
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, currency, or reliability of any job listing, recruiter data, fit score, or AI-generated analysis; or
  • Warranties that using the Platform will result in job interviews, offers, or employment.

Job search outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your qualifications, the job market, recruiter decisions, and your own actions. We make no guarantee of any specific result from using the Platform.

AI limitations. Our AI-generated fit scores and resume analysis are tools to assist your job search — not definitive assessments of your qualifications. Recruiter decisions involve human judgment and factors our models cannot fully account for. Always apply your own judgment when acting on Platform outputs.

10 — Liability

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JOB-GENIE.AI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages;
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities;
  • Damages resulting from your reliance on any Platform output, including fit scores or job listing data;
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; or
  • Any matter beyond our reasonable control.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO JOB-GENIE.AI IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

11 — Indemnification

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Job-Genie.ai and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms;
  • Your Content, including any claim that Your Content infringes a third-party right;
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or
  • Your interactions with any recruiter, employer, or third party facilitated by the Platform.
12 — Termination

Termination

By you. You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@job-genie.ai or using the account deletion flow at job-genie.ai/data-deletion. Closing your account does not automatically delete all your data — please submit a formal data deletion request if you want your data removed.

By us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Effect of termination. Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the Platform immediately ends;
  • We may delete or retain your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy; and
  • Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 13 (Disputes).
13 — Disputes

Disputes & Governing Law

Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising from or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Informal resolution. Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at legal@job-genie.ai and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved this way.

Binding arbitration. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and Job-Genie.ai agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. You waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Exceptions. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction in Broward County, Florida, to prevent irreparable harm, including unauthorized use of intellectual property. Small claims court actions are also excluded from the arbitration requirement.

Time limit. Any claim arising from these Terms must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim, or it is permanently barred.

14 — Changes

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page;
  • Send a notice to the email address associated with your account; and
  • For significant changes, ask for your re-acceptance before continued use of the Platform.

Your continued use of the Platform after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may close your account.

We recommend bookmarking this page and reviewing it periodically. Previous versions of these Terms are available on request.
